Confession; I can't take all the credit for the cake. Rick came in to help when I was making it and decorated both the zoo cars. He got really into it, and I think he did a pretty good job!

Train Cake
Here are some more pictures of the train cake. Jacob ate some yesterday, and had another piece today. After lunch he was pointing at the fridge saying "boose, boose." It took me a minute to figure out he was asking for cake, and wanted a slice of the Caboose. When I got it out he said "E" - he wanted the piece with the window on it. I guess it looked like an E to him!

I don't think you can really see them well, but the candles are letters and spell his name (why we had 4 cars - lucky his name isn't Balthazar!)

wow Tania- that is the most amazing detail on a birthday cake I have ever seen! Did you ever take cake decorating classes?
That cake IS amazing. I've been trying to decide for months what kind of cake to make for Lilly next month. I can guarantee it won't come close to that!
I KNOW- sometimes it's secretly good to not be in Tania's ward! jk I miss you and your family a ton!!!
I have been thinking about his cake all week and how on earth the wheels came to be...what they are made of.
This cake is much easier than you would think.
Liz, the wheels are small york peppermint patties with a dot of icing in the middle, for the front engine wheels I used cadburry chocolate finger cookies, and stuck them on with a little melted chocolate.
Seriously, last years teddy bear cake was much more labor intensive.
You are amazing. It's like living with Martha in our midst. Thanks for sharing all your talents with us.
You are killing me again with this cake -- so cute I'm going into sugar shock!
Jasper spent the last two months telling us he wanted a doggie cake with NO candles and NO singing (birthday isn't until January). But now he tells me he wants a car cake with candles and singing. Who knows what the request will be once the day finally rolls around.
wow. i'm in awe.
Love the cake Tan!
