I don't think too much about missing Australia. My life is here, and I'm happy to be living in the US. However, as we get closer to our trip to Australia in April, I'll probably post more and more about the things I'm dying to see again. Here is my beautiful baby sister, Tara, who lives in Australia with her husband Greg, and their beloved dog, Darwin. Tara works for the RSPCA, and this is an injured Rainbow Lorikeet that she recently rescued while out walking with Greg & Darwin.
I cannot wait to get back to Australia for the birds! There are so many more than I have ever seen here. Their euphony wakes you in the morning, and makes you just feel good to be alive! There are so many colours, and they fly in huge flocks (especially budgies, and galah's.) My kids are going to LOVE it.
Oh, one more thing. See the logo on Tara's shirt? My brother-in-law Andrew has done this too. That is one thing they will not be talking us into --- swimming with sharks is NOT my idea of a vacation, even if it is in a land I love. Maybe when I'm 85 and terminally ill ...
