The day after my birthday Rick took the day off and we went skiing. We've been pretty tied to one mountain near our house all season, because they have child care for Jacob & Jane, but we've been really wanting to try somewhere else.
I hired a babysitter (for 11 hours) and we headed 2 hours away to Mohawk with the big girls. That day we woke up to 6" of new snow, and more falling. It was a bummer to be skiing in falling snow, but we bundled up, and enjoyed the ONLY snowfall we've had all year that has actually stuck!
So much fun that I didn't feel at all guilty about leaving J&J for so long. Driving up there and back I made a "no iPod" rule, and we watched Anne of Green Gables, and enjoyed the ride together.
My cute snow bunny. Emily is really improving. She can now go off small jumps, and does blue runs. Last time we went, I said "blue runs only" for the last 2 hours of the day. (You'll never get better, if you don't push yourself a little.)
Rick and Rebekah (hunkered down) on the lift.

Lots of fun. I wish we'd had some more snow this year. It's warming up now so they won't be making any more. I think we've only got a couple more trips until we call it quits for the year. There are very few things all of us can do together though, and we have all enjoyed this season (Jacob even rode the lift last Saturday in his private lesson.)
We'll be back for sure next year (got to be sure we can fit in when we eventually move to Colorado!)

Glad you got to enjoy the snow!
Yea! A picture of Rebekah at last. We love you Bek. And all of you of course. Glad to see you had so much fun together. Makes me (Mum, Grandma) want to take a few ski lessons. How about it Grandpa!
You've got to be kidding

Looks like a fun family trip - although I hate the cold.
