ICE

We've had so many storms this winter!
I haven't minded them because I love snow, I'm not afraid to drive in snow, Rebekah & Rick shovel the snow and we like to play, sled and ski in snow!

Ice is a totally different story. I AM afraid to drive on ice, we can't play out in it and it is miserable to shovel (although my sweet husband still gets up before dawn to do it for us.)
I did venture out this afternoon to go get pizza for lunch for the kids (who were home from school again) and drop off the dry cleaning. The car had a thick coating of ice all over it. It looked as if it had been encased in glass.

Since I hear it's only going to get worse, I headed out again this evening to return library books & pick up a few groceries so that we can hunker down tomorrow.

Wow - that looks incredible. We had temperatures of up to -8 degree C here just before Christmas (and -17 in Crosby which is just north of the city centre) which is REALLY cold for this country and I was amazed at the long icicles hanging from some of the houses. I'd only ever seen that when on skiing trips in Europe. I hope we have some more sub-zero temperatures before the winter is out.

Well, Karen, I DON'T want any more sub-zero temps. Roll on Spring, I say!

Oh man, that's crazy! The tree does look beautiful, though.
